Sitting lakeside in Zürich on a globally warm spring day...

An elderly woman in Prada sunglasses and a menacing diamond ring takes stock of our baby.

Small talk quickly ensues.

She tells us she is from Germany.

She tells us that her and her diamonds no longer feel safe in her own Dorf.

She tells us that there are awfully dangerous immigrants everywhere.

We excuse ourselves and leave.

She takes a puff of her cigarette and wishes us a nice life.

Our baby waves goodbye.

Sometimes history is not so far away, even in the most peaceful of places.
